Begged husband to model Red Tortoise Shell Eyeglasses - cat Gus willingly helped.

Sometimes the light hits just right -- and a few clouds float by at the perfect time.
A great pair of Designer Frames - yet to be listed.

I sell my Dad's old Optical items and now Coins.

My father retired from selling Eyeglasses Frames and Sunglasses to Opticians and Eye Doctors in the late 1980s.

We always had a cabinet in the basement full of boxes of thousands of pairs of Eyeglasses! It was a constant complaint by my mother -- Doug what are we going to do with all these frames? ! Some were donated to a friend that was an Eye Doctor and given to those in need overseas. The rest just sat and sat - untouched.

Retiring from the position of Director of a Humane Society when I moved 3 hours away from my family home, I decided to try and sell some of my family items. Etsy seemed to be the perfect fit. Way too nice and special to just auction off taking the lowest bid.

I began selling an assortment of vintage in ForsythiaHill.etsy.com and opened a separate Eyewear shop selling mainly Sunglasses. Later Eyeglasses Frames and Coins were added. Several friends have helped model sunglasses, providing many hours of laughter.

Many people have helped me with my business. My 80 year old mother periodically picks up a car load of donated shipping boxes from a local eyeglasses shop (that would otherwise be sent to the landfill). My mother removes the original shipping labels from the boxes so I can reuse them and packages my orders.

Both sides of my family hung onto coins. Most are tucked away in safety deposit boxes awaiting for me to catalog and research. One day...
